What our clients say about us
Benoît-Jules played a pivotal role in structuring the QUANTICARDI project (FUI, 2011), which aimed to develop a strontium‑82 production process, a strontium‑82/rubidium‑82 generator, and an associated injector for cardiac imaging, in order to predict cardiovascular risk and adapt treatment accordingly. He effectively coordinated the technological development that subsequently enabled us to complete all the stages leading to marketing authorisation for the strontium‑82/rubidium‑82 generator in 2024 by NaoGen Pharma, a spin‑off from the QUANTICARDI project. He also demonstrated exceptional personal commitment in the preparation and follow-up of our “GO‑Radiopharma” application under the French Recovery Plan in 2020 for the industrialisation phase of the generator. The quality of his advice and the time he devoted, without ever counting it, to supporting me as CEO responsible for financing enabled NaoGen Pharma to become a “Recovery Plan award‑winning company” in 2021. Securing this status gave us access to a €1.5 million government grant and significantly strengthened our profile with private and institutional investors such as the Regional Council, Bpifrance and regional banks, who then played a major role in providing the additional non-dilutive financing that followed recognition of our status as a “government‑backed company”.

Thanks to Benoît-Jules’ support, Biowest successfully secured funding under the France Relance program.
His expertise in project management, combined with a rigorous methodology and a clear strategic vision, was instrumental in preparing an application that was both robust and convincing.
His ability to structure each phase of the project, mobilize the right resources, and anticipate key challenges truly made the difference.
Without his invaluable support, we probably would not have been able to reach this level of excellence, which enabled Biowest’s MESPRCC project to be selected as one of the program’s award-winning initiatives.
Samuel BOUTIN, Président
Benoît-Jules helped us secure several public grants, most recently France 2030. He has extensive experience with calls for proposals in Pays de la Loire, as well as at national and European level. His approach is methodical, ensuring that both the requirements and ambitions of each call are fully addressed.
He developed a very clear understanding of our project – an advanced, innovative cell therapy based on pluripotent stem cells. His advice was pragmatic, helped us save time when drafting the application, and ultimately made the difference for us. He is an outstanding guide through the complex landscape of innovation funding schemes.
Tuan Huy NGUYEN, President
OSE Immunotherapeutics is a biotechnology company that develops first-in-class products in immuno-oncology and immuno-inflammation. The company had the opportunity to be supported by Benoît-Jules in order to optimise the funding of its innovative projects. Through an in-depth review of our programmes, he helped us select the most competitive projects and the most suitable funding schemes.
He also supported the preparation and follow-up of the applications. His support resulted in bpifrance funding of €8.426 million for the company’s most advanced asset, Tedopi®, the most advanced therapeutic cancer vaccine in clinical development. The funded project aims to conduct a Phase 3 clinical trial to confirm the vaccine’s efficacy compared with the chemotherapy regimens commonly used in patients with non-small cell lung cancer who have developed resistance to first-line immunotherapy. The activities carried out under this project are essential to the future marketing of this innovative therapeutic vaccine.

Affilogic discovers and develops biotherapeutics based on small affinity proteins, Nanofitins®, and has invested more than €5 million in a new Nanofitin® production facility in Nantes, with the support of the Pays de la Loire Region and the French State under the France Relance plan.
Benoît-Jules Youbicier-Simo played a key role in connecting us with the decision-makers within the funding bodies. Thanks to his extensive network and in-depth knowledge of funding mechanisms, he helped accelerate the process and maximise our chances of success.
Olivier KITTEN, President
Benoît-Jules was able to understand our project to create a surgical training centre (SKLYLAB) and identify the most suitable public funding programme. He guided us throughout the drafting of the project, refocusing our presentation to meet the expectations of the evaluators.
He has an excellent understanding of evaluation processes. I can only recommend working with him: we were selected on our very first submission to the fourth wave of the “Plan d’Investissement d’Avenir” (PIA4 Pays de la Loire – Filières).
Thibaud POUJADE, Chief Executive Officer
We had the opportunity to work with Benoît-Jules on our innovation project, for which we obtained funding from Bpifrance. From the outset, Benoît-Jules provided us with valuable expertise, guiding us at every stage in choosing the most appropriate funding, structuring our presentation, shaping our arguments, and building our application.
His strategic insight and sound advice were essential in structuring our file and showcasing it in a compelling way that met funders’ requirements. Thanks to his rigorous approach, combined with an in-depth knowledge of regional public, institutional and private stakeholders, we went through the process with confidence and peace of mind, maximising our chances of success. Benoît-Jules’ contribution was decisive for securing this funding, and we highly recommend him to any organisation or company seeking expert support to finance its innovation projects.
Fabrice PICARD, Chief Executive Officer
I had the pleasure of working with Benoît-Jules on a complex grant application project submitted to the French State under the “Industrialisation et Capacités Santé 2030” call for projects of the France 2030 investment plan. I was able to appreciate his great professionalism, attention to detail, and extensive experience, which proved essential to the success of the project.
Benoît-Jules guided our team step by step, showing us the way forward and putting his deep expertise at our disposal.
Lucio LAVACCHIELLI, President
I can only recommend our collaboration with Benoît-Jules, which enabled us to streamline the presentation of our TECTONICS project and clarify the missing elements needed to obtain funding under the Concours d’innovation i-Nov call for projects.
Benoît-Jules has an excellent command of the requirements of French and European calls for projects. His experience was extremely helpful, and the jury members highlighted many of the points he had advised us to include in our application. His knowledge also enabled us to plan ahead and identify other funding schemes to support the further development of our project.
Jean-Pierre PODGORSKY, President
Benoît-Jules brought real added value to our industrial site modernisation project (ORTHOPROD5.0) thanks to his methodical approach and his thorough understanding of the specific challenges in our sector. His support enabled us to structure a clear and compelling application that fully met the requirements of the “Industrialisation et Capacités Santé – France 2030” call for projects.
His ability to identify the differentiating strengths of our bid and highlight them played a key role in our success. He also stood out through his commitment and proved to be a trusted partner throughout this collaboration. The ministry praised the quality of our application and is now supporting us in its implementation.
Eric LEROUX, Industrial Director
Benoît-Jules played a key role in building the Train4Bioprod project, in response to the “Compétences et Métiers d’Avenir” call for projects under the France 2030 programme. This project was selected in December 2024 and received €3.5 million in funding.
Thanks to his network and expertise, he helped bring together key stakeholders in the sector from the Pays de la Loire, Centre Val de Loire and Brittany regions, to create a high-level training programme dedicated to the challenges of bioproduction for biotherapies and advanced therapy medicinal products. Led by Oniris VetAgroBio, with Nantes Université as the main partner, this consortium also includes three professional training organisations (Groupe IMT, Lycée Talensac, CFA LEEM), a healthcare institution (Nantes University Hospital), four platforms, the French Blood Establishment (EFS), six innovative biotech companies and five SMEs, three equipment suppliers, and the Atlanpole Biotherapies competitiveness cluster. Benoît-Jules played an active role in formalising the project’s objectives, organising all project tasks and the Gantt chart. Through his ability to move actions forward and propose solutions, he facilitated connections with the various stakeholders, thus ensuring the project’s progress. For all these reasons, I highly recommend his expertise in project development and his in-depth knowledge of the biotherapies sector.
Jean-Marie BACH, Deputy Director
Benoît-Jules’ contribution was essential to the success of the Quanticardi® project. From the very first funding applications, he managed to bring together the energies of a consortium made up of partners from diverse cultures and backgrounds, never losing sight of the ultimate goal of bringing the project to market.
Drafting the consortium agreement between the parties involved, building the technical dossier and preparing the budget were all key steps that Benoît-Jules Youbicier-Simo handled with great skill, while always making time to work closely with the teams. He also identified new funding opportunities that were vital for developing the Sr-82/Rb-82 generator through the G.O. RADIOPHARMA project, funded by bpifrance under the “Industrialisation et capacités santé 2030” call for projects, to complete industrialisation and set up a production line for the generator. From start to finish, he was, in a way, the driving force behind Quanticardi®. Today, with the mission accomplished, Isotop Valley® is firmly on the global map of the radiopharmaceutical industry.
